Inspired by:

I have an array of artistic influences ranging from Andrew Wyeth to Caravaggio, to Dalí, Erté and Schiele. I do not paint like any of them but I grabbed a little inspiration from each and mixed them into my own concoction.

How I express myself in my art:

For many years I always painted using straight, natural colors, sometimes in monochrome.  Then one day, I was bored with the norm, so I started to say "what if?" and that was my inspiration to step outside the box.  "What if" I painted EVERYTHING in vibrant multi-colors with the richness of a gold background? I mainly paint animals and people and have painted just about everything else in the past.  Basically, when I paint what I love or what moves me emotionally, that's when I do my best work...if I paint what I love, I love what I paint.

During my 37 years of painting I have completed many paintings and have been commissioned many times to paint portraits of people as well as animals.  I have sold to private and corporate collectors and continue to exhibit in galleries and art festivals.
